Tim Farmer story, Green River Float trip, on Kentucky Afield Special ColumbiaMagazie.com story from KY Fish & Wildlife Frankfort, KY - "Kentucky Afield" TV host Tim Farmer changes gears this weekend to share his own story of why he must take on the great outdoors single-handedly. The program airs Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, 2009, KY on KET. On this Fourth of July weekend, we take independence very personally. This is especially true for anyone with physical disabilities. Since that day in 1984 when Farmer lost the use of his right arm in a motorcycle accident, regaining his independence has been a daily struggle. This weekend, he tells the story of a split-second that changed his life and his outlook on the rest of it. Also on this holiday show, we float gently down the stream on a homemade flat-bottomed boat. Munfordville's Eddie Jessie and Barry Locke take us on a Green River cruise that's turning heads around every turn. "Kentucky Afield" is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor television show in the nation. The program airs Saturday at 8:30pmET Eastern/7:30pmCT, and is repeated Sunday at 4pm. ET/3pmCT on KET 1. 2009-07-03 05:19:46 | Comments | Printable version
