Dave Rosenbaum finds copy of Traipsin' Terrapin!

Account from Golden Age of Southcentral Kentucky Journalism era is being sped to ColumbiaMagazine.com via the United States Post Office. Account will be posted here, dreckly
About: Box turtle: Not shy at all photo by Ken Akin.

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

There seems to have been a lot of turtle articles in CM lately. It brought to mind a story that I clipped from the local paper about 30-35 years ago title "The Trapesin Terrapin." It is an account of a terrapin that Opie Maupin captured in the Moccasin Community of Metcalfe County and the subsequent adventure of that famous terrapin.

I tried to scan the article and e mail it to you but the resolution is very poor. I could mail it if I had an address. Since most of your readers are much younger that you and I, I thought it might be interesting to the younger set.
