Band passes $100,000 mark for Parade fund! A donation from the Columbia Woman's Club and over $850 from the concessions at Dancing with the Stars 2009 have helped pushed the Macy's 2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade fund past the $100,000 mark. Granny Bennett was just that. She loved everyone she came in contact with. She loved sitting in her chair in the front door watching for who might just be coming up on her porch. It didn't matter how long you stayed, she enjoyed every minute you were there. On Monday, I visited her at the Westlake Hospital and she told me "I'm tired, I want to go home."
