Floyd and Sharon Burton urge support for Crusade for Children Parents of special needs child who has benefitted from the Crusade for 15 years reminds Adair County that this is one effort which returns, dollar for dollar, penny for penny, every cent donated from Adair County back to Adair County By Sharon and Floyd Burton We would like to ask every person in Adair County to donate this weekend to a very special organization. It happens to be the Crusade for Children. We are the parents of a 30 year old special needs daughter. She greatly benefited from the Crusade for 15 years. It is very hard yet a blessing to have a special needs son or daughter. All money collected will stay right here in Adair County. I would like to thank everyone that stands out to collect the donations. I would also like to say thank you so much for all the people that open their hearts and wallets to give whatever the amount may be. Every penny counts and helps. If you have a special needs son or daughter you know the heartache, struggles and work involved caring for that person. It means a whole lot to know there are people that are willing to stand out in the street and hot sun to collect money for the special people. We will forever be grateful for everyone that helps in any way. Thank You 2009-06-05 20:50:32 | Comments | Printable version

The miracle of the roses must bring great comfort About: Just Roses most special imaginable To ColumbiaMagazine.com I had the honor of hearing the story about the roses a couple of years ago from Margaret. As I sat at my computer and read this, just like the first time I heard this story, I got chill bumps and tears in my eyes. Knowing the kind of people Melvin and Margaret are, I know this miracle brings them great comfort every time they think of it. They can always take pride in knowing what a good job they did in raising such a great guy as Mike. s/Sheila Blair 2009-06-05 04:30:29 | Comments | Printable version Birthdays and Anniversaries for June 5 Happy Anniversary, Anna D. and Donald R.
