AG Jack Conway files lawsuit against auto warranty telemarketer "Consumers from across Kentucky have reported these annoying warranty calls to both our website and our Consumer Protection Hotline," General Conway said From the office of the Kentucky Attorney General Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story Attorney General Jack Conway today announced the filing of a consumer protection lawsuit in Fayette Circuit Court against a Nevada telemarketing company for making deceptive calls concerning automobile warranties to Kentucky consumers on the Do Not Call list. The company's principal owner, Mike Bruce Moneymaker, a resident of California, was also named as a defendant in the suit. The Attorney General is seeking a temporary injunction to prohibit the telemarketing company from making further telephone calls to Kentucky residents with phone numbers on the national Do Not Call Registry and committing other false, misleading and deceptive acts in the course of the solicitations. Tabernacle Homemakers Club goes on fishing expedition Click on headline for story with photo By Lila Loy The ladies of the Tabernacle Homemakers Club met on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the home of Lucille Lemon. After a wonderful snack provided by the hostess, the ladies then made their own bottle fish. Each one claimed that their fish was better looking than the others, and were happy to be able to catch a fish without a license. They all turned out very nice. The class was taught by Lila Loy, but the "gals" all helped each other and completed their fish.
