Small pug mix found in Burkesville, KY at Sugarfoot Farm

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

Someone brought a male Pug mix to the farm last Saturday. He was found in Burkesville, KY, sitting in the middle of the road. I would like to make sure he isn't a lost dog before I try to find a home for him. He's a little sweetheart - housebroken, likes to have his belly rubbed. He had to have been someone's dog.

Thanks,
s/Peg Schaeffer

Writer underwhelmed by Justice Center adornment

About: Rotunda Dome Raising Kyle Milby in action

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I observed the setting of the dome. Where's the copper? I would equate our new courthouse dome to "putting a tenth of a carat diamond into a $100,000 ring setting." It will, however, be an enduring impression of the "depression/deep recession" of the early 21st century. ;)

Doug Campbell sends word of exciting event today

News tip received from the King Air 200 he is flying somewhere in the Southeastern United States. CM is asking on-the-ground people nearby to notify us at (270) 250-2730, when there are indications the work is underway. Update Roving Reporter Robert Harmon reports at 8:52amCT that the boom truck is in place and the thing is on the ground. "Looks like it's ready to go," he said.

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Take a picture or two and let people know a pretty exciting construction feat is going to happen today at the Adair Justice Center. The rotunda dome is supposed to be lifted to the top of the entrance today.

And say hello to the guy running the crane, Tim Edwards, a retired pilot and good friend of mine. I always introduce him as the second greatest pilot I know. He is a excellent crane man, but an even better pilot. His right hand man is Kyle Milby, another "salt of the earth" from the Green County Milbys.

I would be there myself but I'm running around the southeast today in a King Air 200.

Ed, May the Lord pour out his blessings upon you today as I pray for you and your family.

With best regards and In Christ,
s/Doug Campbell

Advertising in South Central Kentucky has gotten cheaper

ADVERTISING

Much cheaper. Much easier. Much more effective.

Would it be so great a bargain if you could buy that electric adding machine you paid $750 for in 1972 for even the same money? Would it be a good deal?

Hardly, when companies give away pocket calculators which will do far more, today, FREE

And certainly not, when a $400 computer today can do millions more things, almost instantly.

In advertising, ColumbiaMagazine.com is that kind of better deal: It's a whole new way of managing advertising dollars. The place to start over, to rethink everything you've done in the past. The place to think your costs in pennies instead of dollars. It just makes sense in today's world. Email us . Call us: (270) 384-2730 or (270) 384-3979.
