George Johnson: Thanks for returning Olive, missing boxer

Pet boxer mix had been reported missing from Jones Chapel Road last night; was found in Gradyvlille, returned to owner this morning. Owner thanks Terry Rice for taking care of Olive during absence

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

Our beloved Olive is home safe now thanks to a Columbia Magazine.com reader. I want to thank Terry Rice and his mother (Frances Salyers, D & F Grocery, Gradyville). Seems Olive made it to Gradyville. Mr. Rice called me this morning saying he thought he had our dog. Sure enough he did. She was happy to see us and we where thrilled to see her He had taken such good care of her while she was gone. Not a lot a people would have taken care of a dog they did not know. He told us she showed up at his home Thursday knocking on his back door. You are are one terrific person, Terry Rice, for being there when Olive needed someone to care for her on her journey from home. We are so grateful to Mr. Rice and to ColumbiaMagazine.com.s/George Johnson
