I did however check with them and they returned my call today which I totally appreciate!! They said they had not seen my dog but if she was adopted out, this informaiton could not be given out. I can look and see the photos of the dogs that have been adopted out, but Baby was not in that bunch! I do know however, that some dogs were put down before they could have been transferred to that shelter. Web 101, 5Ws + H" Last minute checks from Rudyard Kipling For events, photo captions, and stories, the last minute check is from web reporting instructions written in 1902 by Rudyard Kipling, his six honest serving men: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How. Always ask, Who? What? Where? (Rudyard Kipling wanted street numbers and street for navigational purposes; and he would have wanted it noted if the number is not posted on the venu) along with City and State; When (ex: at 9:00amCT, Friday, March 27, 2009), Why? and How? When those questions are satisfactorily answered, Rudyard Kipling would then, and only then, click "Send" to ColumbiaMagazine.com. He would have sent it properly capitalized (never in all caps), in narrative form, in ColumbiaMagazine.com format, we're sure. And he would never have sent the submission in more than one email including jpg attachments and all faces identified. Nor would he have sent it as a poster unless it were to be paid advertising, and he wouldn't have asked ColumbiaMagazine.com to publicize for free while paying for publicity elsewhere in print, on t-shirts, billboards, flyers, Tv or cable, or yard sales, realizing that he would be reaching more people by ColumbiaMagazine.com than by any other means. That's just the kind of guy he was. 2009-03-23 10:00:29 | Comments | Printable version
Beech Bend was place to go lieu of vacations About: Carol Perkins: Beech Bend Park To ColumbiaMagazine.com: When I was a young child we went to Beech Bend Park every year for a family reunion. I think it was the Jessie family I am not for sure. I have fond memories of the screened in pavilion where we ate our lunch and then afterward the younger family members would go up on the hill and ride rides and play games until time to go home. I had so much fun because it was like going on vacation. We didn't go on vacations back then because both my parents worked on the farm milking cows and raising crops so they were tied down, but once a year we went to Beech Bend and had the best time. s/Jennifer Fudge Carter 2009-03-23 09:43:45 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

Letter suggests ways to find missing Golden Retriever Debbie Murray's dog is missingTo ColumbiaMagazine.com: If Debbie's dog actually was among the dogs seized, it may have wound up with a breed rescue. I'd suggest she check with Warren County's humane organization and any and all Golden Retriever rescues in a large area, at least covering all of Kentucky, part of Tennessee and possibly other states, too. She can do this online...This is a prime example why having your dog microchipped is a good idea. It is also a reminder to people with the underground or electronic fence that it doesn't always stop a dog from leaving the yard, and it won't stop someone from stealing a dog. I wish Debbie luck in her search. It's heartbreaking to have a missing pet. s/Peggy Fudge 2009-03-23 05:13:21 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
