Letter: Asks about 4 wheelers, as well as golf carts

About: Should Columbia follow lead on golf carts on City Streets

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Why aren't 4-wheelers allowed on city streets as well as golf carts? Now that the bypass has taken so much traffic around Columbia, could this be the future?

Gas Price Drumbeat: Happy to be dining in Lebanon tonight

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I just looked on Kentucky Gas Prices for Lebanon, KY. Prices range from 1.61 to 1.66. In Columbia, the lowest price, same company, was $1.84. It's nice that we're going there for dinner tonight.

s/Name on file with CM

Your implication is clear. And we understand why you'd plan to buy a tank of gas in Marion County. For us, we just going to drive a lot, lot less and continue to buy from the local gas stations. But what you are making clear is that the gas price differential is costing the Columbia-Adair County economy--big time.

The Message Mitzi taught me: Just be glad we're still here. Enjoy

Tribute to a Strong Woman: A chance reunion with an old friend could have turned to commiseration, but her petite, positive friend--who handles everything life throws at her with poise and grace--changed an outlook

By Sheila Wood

Today I had the pleasure of running into an old friend Mitzi Bault. We had not seen one another in a long time and it was good to catch up with her.

As we talked all I could think of was just how beaming she was. If any of you know Mitzi she has always been such a happy positive person. As we began talking about how long we have known each other, the conversation turned to age.
