Gas Price Drumbeat: Won't even buy soda because of gas price

About: Why is Glasgow so much cheaper

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I wish everyone in Adair County and Columbia would do what I have been doing for a long time. I quit buying gas in Columbia a long time ago. I refuse to give them my money, just because they think I can't do anything about it. I drive past their pumps often, and I would not even buy a soda from them. Angry? No, just the way I feel.

Some timely reading: Protecting Your Right to Know

Kentucky's Open Meetings and Open Records laws don't just protect the rights of media, the laws also protect individuals right to know. To protect the public's right to know, the office of Attorney General Jack Conway has printed a booklet which is now online:

Protecting Your Right To Know: The Kentucky Open Records and Open Meetings Acts.

If you have questions about the legality of actions of local governmental units, the brief booklet may offer answers to your questions. The booklet includes details on how special called meetings may be held, how they must be advertised, what business can be conducted at special meetings, and what business may be conducted in "Executive" or closed door sessions and what may not be conducted away from public view. -CM
