KTC Engineering scholarship deadline is March 1, 2009 By Keirsten Jaggers The deadline to submit applications for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's civil engineering scholarship is just around the corner. The completed application must be submitted, along with two letters of recommendation, by March 1, 2009. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awards from 10 to 20 new scholarships each year to civil engineering students attending the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, or Western Kentucky University. Injury accident occurs on Bernard Ridge in Russell County A crash occurred at 11:37amCT on HWY 619, two miles east of Russell Springs, KY, on Bernard Ridge on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, when Jacqueline C. Tharp, 44, Jamestown, lost control of an eastbound black 1996 Chevrolet pickup, which struck a utility pole.
