Feedback: Maury Lewis identifies bird + how a bird thinks

Getting ready for the Great Backyard Bird Count
Friday, February 13, 2009, through Monday, February 16, 2009

About: Susie Grant nows knows what its like to hold a wild bird

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I believe that is a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Do people see this bird around here very often? I looked it up this morning in a couple of bird books and this doesn't seem to be the area this bird lives in.

They have decals now that people can put on doors to keep the birds from flying into it. When it is clear, the birds think it is a way out or through.

Remembering Joey Hadley: He gave above and beyond

About: "Remembering Joey Hadley Prayers go out for family"

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I was so shocked to hear of Joey's passing. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to know him through Jessica's involvement in the choir program many years ago at Col. Wm. Casey. He made sure for two years that the choir could participate in the Christmas parade with a float. He will always be remembered as one that gave above and beyond.

With love and prayers...

Full house for Lindsey singing, but hearts were heavy

Deaths of two near and dear to community, Steve Hingle and Joey Hadley, lent a somber note to the occasion

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I wanted to thank Columbia Magazine for helping me so much in my efforts in getting the word out about the singing we had at our church on Sunday night, February 1st. with the Lindsey Family. We had a full house.

Even though we had a wonderful time in music, the whole gathering had a cloud of sorrow from time to time. Both the death of Mr. Steve Hingle and Joey Hadley weighed heavily on our minds. Joey is a nephew of Clifton Hadley, the song leader at our church and we missed he and his family so much. They were at the viewing at the funeral home for Joey.
