12 Highway deaths on Kentucky roads last week Two of the 12 fatalities, one in Adair and pedestrian death in Green, were in Post 15 area From Tpr. Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY (FRANKFORT, KY) - Preliminary statistics* indicate that 12 people died in eleven separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, January 5 through Sunday, January 11, 2009. Eleven of the fatal crashes involved motor vehicles and six of those victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-vehicle crashes occurred in Adair, Floyd, Greenup, Harrison, Jefferson (2), Laurel, Oldham, and Union counties. Two of the crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.
