On Saturday, December 27, 2008, the ACRD was out on Little Cake Road near the Little Cake Christian Church where a road tile was washed out. County Roads Supervisor Jobe Darnell, along with Lonnie Page, Terry Williams, and Billy Cowan worked most of the day to do a temporary repair on a washed out tile. Ten highway deaths over Christmas Holiday period in KY None of Christmas 2008 victims were wearing seatbelts. Fatalities are down by 50 compared to same period in 2007 From Trooper Billy Gregory, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY FRANKFORT, KY - Preliminary statistics* indicate that ten people died in ten separate crashes on Kentucky's roadways during the Christmas holiday period from 6:00pm. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 through 11:59pm, Sunday, December 28, 2008. Nine of the fatalities involved motor vehicles and none of those victims were wearing seat belts. Single vehicle crashes occurred in Bourbon, Breathitt, Campbell, Fayette, Floyd, Madison, Pulaski, Rowan and Wayne counties. One fatality involved a pedestrian in Jefferson county. CU offers reduced tuition to those who have lost jobs Discounted rate of $265 per credit hour is for those who have become unemployed since September 1, 2008 By Joan C. McKinney, CU news and publications coordinator Campbellsville University, by offering reduced tuition in the ACCEL Program, is stepping forward and helping those who have recently lost their jobs. "The university will discount tuition and related fees, not covered by state and federal financial, or other publicly funded programs, for up to two classes for any dislocated, or recently unemployed, adult who enrolls in the ACCEL Program," announced Dr. Michael V.
