Gas Price Drumbeat: Campbellsville has some $1.429 gas Some pumps, including those at Murphy Oil at Wal-Mart in Campbellsville, KY, were $1.429 on Saturday, December 27, 2008. In Columbia, the price was below the national average, but was at least 5 cents higher than the Campbellsville outlet. One gas price watcher, Dan Phillips, wrote that gas in Russell Springs on Saturday, December 27, morning was $1.479, the same as Columbia's lowest pump price. "This morning in Russell Springs I saw that for regular unleaded, Kroger gas and the Laker One Stop Marathon (both on U.S. Hwy 127) the price was 1.479 per gallon," he wrote. "The reason that the Russell Springs gas prices were interesting was that they were the same price as Columbia. Welcome! Sweet baby girl Chloe Sumer Lanz Welcome Sweet Baby Girl! Chloe Sumer Lanz, born December 27,2008 at 9:47amCT at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow. Chloe weighed in at 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was 20 inches long. Chloe is finally here and oh what a blessing we have received. Chloe is the daughter of Caleb and Ashley Claywell Lanz of the Glensfork community of Adair County. She is the granddaughter of Jeff and Kim Hadley and Phil and Nancy Lanz and Justin and Misty Claywell of Columbia, KY, and Debbie White of Michigin. She is the greatgranddaughter of J.C. Coomer and Ralph Hadley and Bobbie Hadley and Ralph Claywell all of Columbia and the late Judy Claywell. And her Aunt is Kristy Claywell.
