Christmas Day 2008 reading

2008-12-26 - Graham & Evan home - Photo by Granddad.
Mema Linda Waggener laughed at the story in The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, while reading it to grandson Evan, 5, who was more engrossed in listening to the new iPod Santa Claus brought him. He'd already read Wimpy Kid, himself. The other book Mema is holding was more compelling: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I beam like a kid on Christmas morning when I lift the top of the dehydrator, revealing tray after tray of perfectly dried strips of venison. I pack the cooled jerky into plastic bags with various marinade labels, and can't wait to give them to friends, family and co-workers.
