Kentucky hunters telechecked 117,124 deer as of December 22, 2008. In Adair County, thus far, 936 deer have been taken, with 502 of them male, 434 female. Most of the harvest, 726 deer, was with firearms; 116 were harvested with muzzleloaders, 88 by archery, and 6 with crossbows. Driver injured in early AM Christmas Day accident KSP assisted by Washington EMS and Springfield Fire Department An injury collision occurred at 3:55amETT on Bloomfield Rd, 5 miles north of Springfield, KY. James T Spalding age 20 of Springfield was operating a 1984 Chevy pickup. Spalding was traveling north on KY 55 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a ditch. He was transported by EMS to Springview Hospital and later to U of L for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt.
