LW Women's game tonight against Midway postponed

The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball game against Midway (KY) College tonight has been postponed due to the weather conditions.

The game has been re-scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 6:30pmCT at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders currently stand at 10-2 on the season and are riding a four game win streak.

Lindsey Wilson's Women's Basketball's next home game is at 4:00pmCT on Friday, January 9, 2008, against Brescia (KY) University.

Unless something is accomplished soon, Pinewood will be sold in January, 2009 at the Court House. We need to have as many people at this meeting as possible to help keep this from happening. Winds a factor in fire damage to Pelham Br. RD property

The Adair County Fire Department responded at around 3:00pmCT Friday, December 15, 2008, to a garage Fire at 70 Hatcher RD off of Pellham Branch RD to a residence owned by Tony and Mellissa Caldwell.

Upon firefighters arrival they found a two garage and part of a double wide mobile home on fire, due to high winds.

A two-car garage and two automobiles were destroyed in the fire, and three rooms of the mobile home were severely damaged.

There were 12 firemen on the scene for around two hours. The cause is still being determined.

Julie Burton is winner of kitchen in ACHS band drawing

Jullie Burton was announced the winner of the stainless steel kitchen in a drawing at Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2008, annual Christmas Concert given by the Adair County High School Band.

The kitchen giveaway ticket sale was used to raise funds for the Adair County Band to help pay for the group's trip to New York City to appear in the 2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Tim Allen is the director of the band. Doyle Lloyd is President of the ACHS Band Boosters.
