LWC Women's Soccer finishes final NAIA poll No. 1 in U.S.A. By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director The Lindsey Wilson College womens soccer team is No. 1 in the final NAIA Womens Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll, released today, Sunday, November 16, 2008, by the NAIA. Lindsey Wilson received 550 points, including 13 of the 20 first-place votes, to remain atop the poll for the seventh consecutive week. The Blue Raiders have held the top spot since the October 7 poll. Obituary: Philllip Wayne Bowles, 50 Phillip Wayne Bowles, 50, Edmonton, died Friday, November 14, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of he late Veachel Bowles and Christine Bruton of Hiseville, who survives. He was a former employee of Phillips 66 in Edmonton. The funeral service will be held at 3:00pmCT, Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the family cemetery at his home. A little field mousie stuck his nose out around the soft drink machine and looked up at us as though we had failed to feed him lunch or to invite him to join our conversation. We spoke; he turned up his nose, shrugged his shoulders, flicked his tail and ambled off to where food used to be. Although he (or perhaps, she) was in no way pestiferous, I called the local pest folks and ordered some field mice food -- heavily spiced.
