Feedback: On Campbellsville Fourth of July, Main Street, 1940

About Larry Smith Photo from the Past: July 4 in Campbellsville

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

Wow! What a great photo! My mother worked 47 years at Citizen's Bank but I'm sure this photo was taken long before her days! It's like taking a step back in time!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have the celebrations like the folks had in the good old days!?!

I would have loved to have been living then. Just from reading, researching and looking at old pics like this it seems like time passed so slowly compared to what it does now.

Great photo to add! Wonderful celebrations! I'm sure a lot of people didn''t know that C-ville had 4th of July celebrations in the 40's! Enjoyed this greatly!

s/Jackie Sapp

Thanks. Your thoughts express so well what so many of us have been thinking as we viewed this wonderful photo. -EW
