Larry Smith Photo from the Past: Greensburg High School 1965

2008-03-29 - Greensburg, KY - Photo From the collection of Larry Smith.
LARRY SMITH WRITES: "Here's a photo of the old Greensburg High School, This school was converted to Greensburg Elementary School in 1974 after the completion of Green County High School on Brummell Avenue. The current Green County High School today is in pristine condition, maintaining the modern look of today. As for the old Greensburg High School it was demolished last year after the Green County Board of Education deemed the building unsuitable to repair. Before the building was leveled many Green Countians were allowed to take items from the building as a memory of the school." Larry Smith is the news anchor at FM 92.7 The WAVE, and South Central Kentucky historian. This photo is from his large collection of old photographs.

One gardener's weed is another gardener's flower.
