Epistle to the Egyptians: Chapter I, Verse 3, from Knifley, KY

LETTERS and FEEDBACK

Et al, via CM, a mere vessel. A simple conduit:

Mr. Rice makes a valid point regarding his prestigious and scriptural address and I agree that being within the confines of Adair, his community has vistas wonderous to behold.

The point that y'all seem to be missing however, is that Knifley, being so far removed from heavenly pursuits, the Creator when he molded Knifley, evidently saw fit to give us a sublime taste of what we would be missing and cast a mirror image of all he considered great and good.

I would just like to say that Sam will be missed by many of us in Adair County.

For as long as I can remember being around Adair County, and more specifically around Adair County sports, I remember Coach Bivens. He was a great coach to so many of us before he became a great friend as we kids grew into adults.

Adair Countian abroad wants to join Columbia, KY, VFW

LETTERS and FEEDBACK
In response to seeing: PHOTO
Ed:

I am a life member of VFW Post 3822 in Panama, which I understand that at one time had one of the largest VFW Posts in the world.

I'm afraid most all us "gringoes" have left since the Canal was returned to Panama and Post 3822's website has now disappeared.

Much the same has happened here in Spain. We're down from ten bases during 80's to one now and there are no veterans organization.

Since I "joined up" from Knifley 60 years ago, it looks like I should "hang up" my VFW hat there. Do you know if that post has a web site? Best to all.

s/Richard Hovious
Spain. Originally and always from Knifley, KY
Note: Good to hear from you. To my knowledge, VFW Post 6097, Columbia, KY, does not have a website yet. The Post is very active under the leadership of the Current Commander, Jimmy Luttrell. We'll pass the word along. You couldn't find a finer group of veterans in the world. -ED
