Rev. Joey N. Welsh: Lesson from Hark! The Herald Angels Sing ANOTHER ANGLE: the occasional musings of a Kentucky pastor, reprinted with the author's permission. A December 25, 2005 column which originally appeared in the Hart County Herald, Munfordville, KY By The Rev. Joey N. Welsh WHEN IT ISN'T THE BEST COURSE TO STAY THE COURSE John (1703-1791) and Charles (1707-1788) Wesley were two religiously earnest brothers among the group of devout young men at Oxford University in the early 1700's who were derided as being the Holy Club or the Methodists. Charles Wesley's hymns were used by many different groups of Christians who sometimes took the words and altered them to suit their own needs.
