Tony Harvey: After initial doubts, day brought more than hoped Operation Migration was even more spectacular than Tony Harvey had ever hoped it would be. Great photographs of whooping cranes in formation behind ultralight accompany this narrative. By Tony Harvey I arrived at Wolf Creek Dam at 5:30pmCT, besides me there were two other vehicles in the visitors center parking lot. Weather conditions weren't very promising and I actually had considered going back to my warm bed. With thetemperature at 29 degrees F., along with cloud ceiling at 2800 ft, I seriously doubted that there would be a flyover. Gas Price Drumbeat: They just don't get it! To Gas Price Drumbeat, CM: Our gas dealers just don't realize that most buy their gas out of town because it's 10 to 15 cents a gallon less than here. Thanks to MW for the help on the prices out of town. On kygasprices.com prices are at 2.79 meantime ours are still $2.91! Looks like they don't like to sell much gas due to our shortage. s/Gerald Doss 2007-12-06 09:34:03 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

Remembering: The unforgettable Sylvia Wilson To CM & everyone whose lives were touched by Sylvia Wilson: Thanks so much for your article on my grandmother Sylvia Wilson. She truly loved her job and all the folks she met while doing her job. She wore a corsage each and every day and little do people know she would claim to feel naked without them. Most of her wall in her room was covered with various bows and flowers. She was a great woman and she did so much for me that I can't even begin to tell you about how she will be greatly missed by our whole family.
