Letter: Thankful for wonderful staff at ACES

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I would like to take the time to acknowledge the wonderful staff of Adair County Elementary School. Our new school is beautiful but so are the employees. We have wonderful group of people there.

I frequently drop off or pick up my granddaughters there and It is so nice to have the staff meet us at the car, help the children out and give them a big smile and tell them to have a good day.

I think they are going above and beyond for these children. I think it's time to let people know how much they are appreciated.

Keep up the good work and hope you know that your kindness does not go unnoticed.

s/Joyce Kelley

The Tradition of the Christmas Puzzle

This story was first posted for Thanksgiving, 2004. It has been one of our most popular stories and is repeated again today.
By Wilma Jean Waggener Cravens

I remember when I was a little girl, growing up with a big, boisterous family in a big white house on Jamestown Street.

It was such a long, long time, then, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when Santa would come.

The wait was long, but Mama and Daddy had a diversion to make the anticipation bearable: The Christmas Puzzle. Click here to continue
