ACHS Class of 1994 - Craigs Classmates says, Thanks

Dear Editor:

We just want to thank everyone who came out and supported our Relay for Life team during Downtown Days on Saturday, October 13th. I think maybe the General Lee's going to need some new tires now thanks to all the eager folks whocame outto take a spin! We want to thank you, our local media, for helping get the word out. Wealsowant to give a special thanks our teammate, Joey White, who is the owner of the General Lee, and our local CMT star, Sarah Withers, who posed as Daisy Duke. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, our team has officially gotten kicked off for the 2008 relay with a great start! Thanks so much!

Children to vote on Kentucky First Dog's Halloween costume

An online contest will decide First Dogs costume for annual Mansion trick-or-treat.Trick-or-Treat at the Governors Mansion has a new twist this year a contest in which children across the Commonwealth can place their votes to choose a Halloween costume for Abby, the First Dog.

Governor and Mrs. Ernie Fletcher will welcome trick-or-treaters to the Governors Mansion on Halloween, October 31, 2007. That night, Abby will reveal which costume received the most votes.

Three names added to the Veterans List

A new named added brings the number to five in the Holt family breakout in the Adair County veterans list. Additionally, two names were added to the Jackson family, and there are now three in that breakout.

Shirley Holt wrote: "Please add to the veterans list Latecia Jackson, Bill Jackson also Dallas Holt. Thanks."
