Letter: Ruth Ann Campbell remembers working at Franklin Theater

About: Picture from the past: Franklin Theater
Hi,

I worked at this theater when I was a young girl.I see Russell Phillips standing near the doors on the right. He and his wife Pansy were mentors of mine. Good memories.

s/Ruth Ann

Thanks for the note, and for adding the memory to Larry Smith's photograph. I didn't know the Phillipses except through Pansy Philllips' watercolors. One of most cherished possessions is a wedding present from Janice Holt Giles, which is a beautiful Pansy Phillips watercolor. -ED

Gerald Doss: Gas prices down - in other towns

ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I'm gettting a lot of phone calls and other contacts about gas prices, many say they hardly ever buy gas in Columbia, also they say when they go out of town and get gas they go to some other brand that is not in Columbia, several others have contacted the gas companies with no results. Check kygasprices.com and notice the price has actually gone down in other towns.
