Veterans List gets much needed name: Joe T. Johnson

The name Harry Jones has just submitted for the Veterans List shows how much help we need to complete the project. Joe T. Johnson, who served in World War II and whose wife rented an apartment at our family home at 705 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY, had not been added until now.

Harry Jones wrote: "Would you please add Joe T. Johnson, of Fairplay, to your wwII list. The checker player. The one the ball park is named after or for."

Thanks to Mr. Jones, the entry, "Joe T. Johnson, Fairplay, KY, Army, WWII," has been added.

Joe Johnson is an Adair County Treasure. It's an honor to add his name. To check the update list, Click Here for "Honoring Adair County Veterans who have served our country."

Our thanks to everyone who is helping with this project. -EW
