Feedback: Idea for Little League

About: Little League brainstorming session
Dear Ed:

I would like to encourage the Little Leagers to enter the Briggs & Stratton sponsored, "Diamonds in the Rough" essay contest for the upcoming year.

Briggs awards grants for the repair and maintenance of Little League fields annually. Awards are usually in early spring, in the February/March time frame.

I would be happy to provide additional information as I know it.

Thanks.

A little bit urgent emergency call for real butter

Needed for Butter Therapy for A.L. Sinclair. It is the only thing that will assure his recovery, daughter thinks

To the editor, CM:

As, I am sure you know my dad, Peewee Sinclair, had a knee replacement last week here in Louisville and when i was there taking him his supper, he mentioned to me he would love to have some "real butter," I was hoping with your great connections in the community you might help me find someone who still makes "real butter." I think it might go a long way towards my dad's recovery and hopefully get me some brownie points also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to buy homemade butter, real home churned butter.

s/Debbie Sinclair

A very worthy cause. Partly because everybody in Adair County wants to see our revered Solid Waste Czar, Peewee Sinclair, get all better, but equally important is the need to help Debbie Sinclair get brownie points. One would assume she's still doing penance for trying to get her mother to throw Kenny from the plane. Send information on the source of real, not store bought, cow butter to CM, or phone Lisa Lee in the Courthouse at (270) 384-4703. -ED

Letter: Pastor Niemoeller words still relevant

About: And Then They Came for Me

To the editor, CM:

"And then they came for me." Unfortunately those poignant words, of which we are so wonderfully reminded in Tom Chaney's piece, continue to be relevant both here and abroad.

Thanks, Tom, for so eloquently reminding us.
