CJE is working for state funding of new Creekbend Rd. Bridge

Adair County CJE Ann Melton is requesting state funds from the Fletcher Administration to build a bridge on Creekbend Road off KY 55 South.

Along with that project, Judge Melton said that she is asking for funds to shore up Melson Ridge Road, near Inroad, where the creek is undercutting the roadbed.

"Both these projects are badly needed," she said. "The bridge is will make a big difference in public safety and convenience."

Feedback: Dave Rosenbaum thinks he know shooters

About: Scenic Adair County Keepers of the ClockTo the editor, CM:

You don't mention the names of the pigeon cullers but I would guess that Sonny Vaughn and Burley Young were probably among the bunch. As late as the early 1980's, the Franklin County Sportsman's Club was allowed to have periodic pigeon culling Sunday afternoons in Downtown Frankfort. The very thought of such slaughter must make the greenies blanche. Some of us, however, remember a 1963 Alfred Hitchcock documentary that demonstrated what can happen when you allow those birds to multiply without any controls.
