Start of School delayed until Monday, August 13, 2007

A bright side: The City Pool schedule is extended and it's FREE

School had been scheduled to open Thursday, August 9, 2007.

The statement did not address whether or not there is a change in the Staff Opening Day on August 8, or the schedule Kindergarten start date of August 10.

But because of the late start, City Pool Greg Thomas is extending the City Pool Schedule by two days. The Pool will be open on Thursday, August 9, and Friday, August 10, 2007. Manager Greg Thomas said that he has received authorization from the Mayor to give FREE ADMISSION on these two days.

"The 10th will be the last day," Thomas said, "because we have day time pool parties booked for Saturday, August 11th, and Sunday, August 12th, and then the pool will be closed until next year.
