Staci Newsom is a very special person

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

We would just like to say that we really enjoyed the article about Staci Newsom. Billy, her brother, has of course, known her since birth.

I met Staci when she was about twelve years old and have always known from that day that she was a special girl.

We are very proud of the decisions that she has made and the woman she has turned out to be. Being the parents of two of her nephews and a niece, we have been able to watch firsthand just how wonderful she truly is with kids.

Staci Newsom will be a success, Fleming neighbor writes

To CM contributing writer Tony RoseMy wife and I have known Staci Newsom since she was a small child. We followed her through her sports career at Fleming County High School and have kept abreast of her volleyball career at Lindsey Wilson.

Staci usually pays us a visit when she returns home for any extended stay. Though no blood relative, Staci seems like a member of our family.

Staci Newsom: Extension Intern for Adair - Her last day

Photo with this article

By Tony Rose, Adair County Youth Extension Agent

As I write this article, I start to think back to May 14 which was the first day for Staci Newsom, our Summer Extension Intern for Adair County. Her first day was an all day bicycle program for the 4th graders of Adair County.

Friday, August 3 is Staci's last day with our office. The Adair County Cooperative Extension Staff has been truly blessed to have Staci working with us this summer.

Advance notice: There may be another Oldies

Show adds another oft repeated discovery: "I didn't know there was this much talent in Adair County," or variations thereof, to the show's most frequently heard critique, "I never laughed so much in my life."
Some, including Tourism Director Sue Stivers, want the show to be a regular event

By Ed Waggener

We'll bring you up to date as soon as a decision is made. Yesterday, speaking from the supper table at Sulphur Well, KY, Dream Depot Manager Elaine Bennett announced that the last presentation of "Oldies But Goodies," the fourth on July 28, 2007, might be the last.

"We have commitments to do other shows," Bennett said. "But Peggy Lawson called me and said that she's got a list of 26 people who want reservations for the next "Oldies," so we're reconsidering."
