"Field necropsy revealed one or more shotgun wounds to the back and abdomen, indicating that this obviously was not a defensive act," said Steven Dobey, black bear biologist for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. Letter - Choice for C&AC: Improve or be bedroom town About: Photo, "Taking off from second smallest airport" To the editor, CM: If you will check your archives, you will find a letter to the Columbia Magazine which suggests that the airport and runway needs to be able to accommodate corporate planes if Adair County and Columbia ever expects to grow its industrial base. Also, there is a need to upgrade the water, sewer, phone, data system, etc, so that industrial development can have something to buy into. If Columbia and Adair County provides the infrastructure, there would be tremendous, but managable growth potential in the future. If these upgrades are not made, we in Adair County will continue to be a "bedroom community" for Glasgow, Campbellsville and Somerset. It's time to get moving. s/Charles Miller 2007-07-18 10:23:06 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
