Emily Griffitt Anderson murder: Jury off until Monday A Columbian tipped CM that she had received word from Gastonia, NC, that the jurors in the capital murder trial of Jerry Anderson are in recess over the weekend, and won't resume deliberations until Monday morning, July 16, 2007. A check at the "Murder in Sawmills" had a just posted entry which gave a reporter's personal feelings about the Kentuckians--relatives from Adair and Jessamine Counties from Emily's relatives, and from Cumberland County who are related to Jerry Anderson--who are in Gastonia, NC, waiting another 72 hours before any closure can begin. CM will continue to offer follow-up links over the weekend. LWC Dean Terry Swan Returns from active duty with U.S. Army From Lindsey Wilson College Public Affairs After a six-month term of active duty in the U. S. Army, Lindsey Wilson College Dean of the Chapel Terry Swan is ready to return to campus life. Swan served as a military occupation specialist at Fort Knox, Ky., from November 2006 to May. He served as chaplain and clinician to soldiers in the armor and calvary training center's medicalclinic. Emily Griffitt Anderson murder: Jury back from lunch 2:07CT UPDATE: A call to Columbia, from NC, and relayed to us said tha the jury is deliberating again. A blog at the Hickory Record announced that the Jury in the capital murder trial of Jerry Anderson has taken a lunch break. It's entitled, "Murder in Sawmills A story was posted earlier this morning from the courthouse in Gastonia, NC, by WCNC.com which updates the situation outside the jury room.Jerry Anderson is accused in the December 2005 of his wife, Emily Griffitt Anderson. The project is expected to create 260 full-time jobs within five years and represents an investment of more than $6.1 million in the south central Kentucky region. Going to State Tournament! AC 9-10 year olds win district! By Julie McQueary The Adair Co. 9-10 year old All stars defeated Marion Co. 8-5 to capture the Little League 5th district championship. They will advance to the state tournament in Bowling Green held July 23-27. This is the first time an Adair Co. Little League 9-10 year old team has ever won the district tournament.
