Thomas Edward Hutchinson, 65, of 2130 Old Glens Fork RD, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 11:00am CT, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Donald Ray Davis officiating.

Bypass Reality: Equipment moved in, ready to build



2007-05-05 - The Y at Junction, Greensburg, Hudson Streets, Columbia, KY - Photo By Joe Hare. Haydon Construction of Springfield has moved heavy equipment onto the lot formerlry occupied by Hill Top Auto at the intersection of Greensburg St. and Hudson St (N 61). The Cat track hoe and two Cat back dumps are poised and ready to go to work on the new Western Bypass to be built around Columbia. This equipment was moved in on Thursday and Friday of this week. Actual work is expected to begin early next week, according to an employee of Haydon Construction in a phone conversation with Joe Hare at Columbia Utilities.

Breeding VFD Fish Fry starts at 4pm, auction at 6pm

4:00pm CT: Breeding VFD Fish Fry
Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department will be having their 10th annual Fish Fry and Auction on Saturday, May 5, 2007. We will start serving fish at 4pm CT and the auction with over 105 items will begin at 6pm CT. Numerous items will be auctioned. The Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department is located approximately 13 miles from Columbia on Highway South 61. LWC to confer 182 degrees Saturday, May 12, 2007

Ceremony will conclude largest graduating class in history of school

More than 182 students and their families will witness history on Saturday, May 12, when they participate in Lindsey Wilson College's 2007 spring commencement ceremony.

The Lindsey Wilson community will hold the college's 85th commencement exercises for the spring portion of its Class of 2007 at 10 a.m. CDT on Saturday, May 12, in Biggers Sports Center. Lindsey Wilson will confer a total of 182 graduate and undergraduate degrees at the May 12 ceremony, concluding the largest graduating class in the college's 104-year history.

5:00pm: Bearwallow United Methodist Church UMC Fish Fry
Bearwallow United Methodist Church would like to invite everyone to come and be a part of our annual Fish Fry on May 5 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The menu includes fried catfish, hushpuppies, numerous different sides to choose from (potatoe salad, green beans, baked beans, mac n cheese, etc.), dessert, and drink.
