Feedback: Clarification on jail per diem, booking fee To the Editor: I was just reading your article on the Fiscal Court meeting and noticed you had stated that the jail charges a $25.00 per day per diem. Our charge here is $8.00 a day. Just thought you might want to know. I work in the office of the Adair County Regional Jail. There is also a one-time $20.00 booking fee. I really enjoy reading your coverage on the Fiscal Court Meetings. I try to read it every month if I can. Thanks. Pam Yarberry Pam: Thanks for your kind comments, and especially thanks for the correction, which has now been made in the story to which you refer.
