Hydroplaning blamed in injury accident on KY 206 The Adair County Sheriff's Department worked a one vehicle, injury accident approximately six miles from Columbia, KY, on the Liberty Road/KY 206. The incident occurred today, Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at around 9:00am CT. Cagney Burton, 22, Columbia, KY, was driving a 1999 Toyota, westbound on KY 206, when the vehicle hit a pool of water, hydroplaned, left the roadway, broke a utility pole, ran through a yard,and struck a tree. Burton was transported by private vehicle to Westlake Regional Hospital and was later transported to UL Hospital in Louisville, KY. Weather radios, early warning systems for downstream towns Governor Ernie Fletcher announces new early warning system, free weather radios, and reverse 911 for several Russell, Clinton, Cumberland, and Clinton Community State written news story FRANKFORT, KY Governor Ernie Fletcher today announced that several communities in Russell, Cumberland, Clinton and Monroe Counties will receive important early warning system equipment. Communities in each county will be provided a reverse 911 system, while a number of local citizens and businesses will be supplied with weather radios. Additionally, the counties will receive an upgrade to their 911 systems by installing "enhanced" 911 in each county. Enhanced 911 provides 911 dispatchers with caller information on 911 calls.
