Official GR Road Race route takes Little Cake RD

Earlier CM route mistakenly said route from Neatsville to finish is on KY 206. Clockwise route actually turns onto Little Cake RD south of Green River Bridge - ED WAGGENER

By Mike Hewitt
We will roll out from the Old Shepherd Elementary School, go down KY 206, turn right on Snake Creek Road, follow it to Knifley Road (KY 551) and turn right. We are on Knifley Road (KY 551) until we reach Elkhorn Road (KY 76) at Knifley. We turn right on the Elkhorn Road and stay on that until we reach KY 206. We cross the Green River Bridge and immediately turn right on Little Cake Road and follow it to the finish line. It is on Little Cake Road at the Purdy Separate Baptist Church just before KY 206.

Cat 1/2/3 (Categories 1, 2, 3) will do three laps or 76 miles. Everyone else except Juniors will do two laps or 50 miles. Juniors do one lap.

When the Academic Championships kick off tomorrow in Louisville, KY, a brainy, experienced Adair County High School academic team will be fielded by Coach Brett Reliford.

Their accomplishments are giving the community much to crow about.

Adair County Judge Ann Melton said, today, "I'm elated. Adair Countians are going to Lexington on Wednesday to back a great Adair County High School basketball team. I'm so proud of them. But I want everybody to know that I am just as proud of the Adair County High School Academic Team. Nothing can make me feel better about the future of Adair County than what these students are doing," she said.
