Pedestrian crossing roadway injured in Russell Co. accident A pedestrian attempting to cross KY 619, three miles east of Russell Springs, KY, was injured after being hit by a vehicle. The accident occurred at 3:40pm this afternoon, Friday, March 9, 2007.The accident occurred as Matthew Holbrook, 25, Russell Springs, KY, was operating a 2000 Chevy westbound on KY 619, was unable to stop and struck Brian Bray, 40, Russell Springs, KY, who was attempting to cross the roadway. Bray was transported by personal vehicle to the Russell County Hospital and treated and released. Holbrook was belted and was not injured. LWC Cycling team raises money with roller ride By Emily Harlan, LWC staff writer Lindsey Wilson's 35 student cyclists compete in mountain biking, cyclo-cross, and road racing COLUMBIA, KY -- The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team held its annual "Roller Ride" on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, to raise money for the program's student-athletes. Cyclists rode for 12 consecutive hours on rollers and stationary trainers outside the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center.
