Feedback: Thanks for awareness about MS

To the editor, CM

I just wanted to thank those in the community of Columbia for your recongition and efforts to raise awareness to this disease. I live in Baltimore, Ohio however; my sister, a resident of Columbia, forwarded this story to me. Our family is also supporting a member with this disease. My Aunt, who also resides in Columbia, was diagnosed a few years ago. She is doing well but continues to struggle with many aspects of MS. It is a wonderful thing to hear that an entire town is behind her!

Best regards,
Jennie Shelpman

March is Severe Storms Preparedness Month

To the editor, CM:

I would like to remind everyone that March is Severe Storms Prepardeness Month in Kentucky. Just a quick reminder that a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is issued when conditions are favorable for Severe Thunderstorms. A Tornado Watch is issued when conditions are right for tornado development. A watch means to simply Watch for changing conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
