Injury accident occurs on KY 704 The Adair County Sheriff's Department investigated a one vehicle accident 1/2 mile south on KY 704 at 8:56pm, Thursday, January 18, 2007. Jeremy Burton, 19, Columbia, KY, was traveling north in a 1991 Pontiac when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck an embankment and overturned. Burton was transported to Westlake Hosptial by the Adair County EMS. The accident was investigated by Chief Deputy Tracy McCarol. LWC Women's Basketball signs Lyon Co. standout for 07-08 Allison Mussato averages 17 points per game By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team has signed Allison Mussato to a NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Wednesday. Mussato, a 6-foot forward from Lyon County High School, averages 17 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game this season, while helping the Lady Lyons to a 9-5 overall record and a 5-0 record in the 5th District. Jobs: County Hiring Dispatchers for 911 Center JOB OPPORTUNITY: Dispatcher positions The Adair Fiscal Court's Personnel Committee will be accepting applications for full time, temporary full time, and part-time dispatcher positions at the Adair County Enhanced 911 Center. Positions will be for a (12) hour shift both day and night. Starting pay will be $8.25 per hour for the six (6) months probationary period, after that the pay will increase to $8.50 per hour. Full time benefits, after probationary period will include vacation time, sick leave, and partial payment of health insurance, and after twelve months regular county retirement. Applications may be picked up at the Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton's Office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (CST) in the Adair County Annex Building. Applications will be received until Friday, February 2nd at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
