Stolen parts for Tomahawk Missile recovered

No more arrests made; no more expected in case

On January 8, 2007, Trooper Clint Walker of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated a burglary at Summa Technologies in Lebanon, KY. Today Trooper Walker recovered nine square aluminum blanks and eight finished aluminum caps that had been machine for a Tomahawk Missile.

This property was recovered from Cox Scrap Metal on East 70 in Taylor County.

(Written Saturday, January 13, 2007, in the middle of the Great ColumbiaMagazine.com Hard Drive Crash in Texas)--A Ryan Alessi story in the Lexington Herald this morning, "House Speaker Deciding on Run for Governor," says that Speaker Jody Richards will make up his mind about the 2007 race in the coming week. On the Republican side, the story says that Rep. Ann Northup is expected to make her announcement to run for Governor this week.

Stuck accelerator causes injury accident at Glens Fork

An injury accident occurred Friday evening at 8:15pm CT, in Glens Fork, seven miles south of Columbia, KY, at the intersection of KY 900 and KY 55.

Harry J. Milam, 25, Russell Springs, KY, was attempting to turn left onto KY 55 from KY 900. The accelerator on her 1993 GMC pickup stuck, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which struck a culvert.
