He was a farmer at heart. Operated it for one year, and sold to Rev. Pickett. Dear Ed I saw the article about the Circle R Restaurant and just had to write you. My father, Ivan McKinney of Sparksville, bought the Circle R from the Keiths but I don't remember the year. I was in first or second grade and I'm 61 years old now. Safety Zone is meant to make teen drivers safer The Safety Zone was an exercise for student drivers held in the days prior to Adair County High School graduation, before the summer vacation driving season gets into full swing. The annual event is a mock fatal accident staged by the Title IV, Part A, Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities and it includes participation of all the first responder agencies. Page House Hotel was on Square In Ruth Burdett's book, Early Columbia, on page 17 there is a photo of what is now the Grissom Funeral Home. It was built by Elijah Creel. The Creel men were merchants and founded the town of Creelsboro and had built the only original building still standing on the Square.
