PhotoAd: Vote for LYNDELL R. PETTY, #1 on the Ballot, for ADAIR COUNTY CORONER

2006-05-14 - Columbia - Photo family. Vote for #1 on the Ballot in the Tuesday Primary election, Democrat Candidate LYNDELL R. PETTY, who seeks the office of Adair County Coroner. He is a lifelong resident of Adair County, a 1988 graduate of Adair County High School and a 1993 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1993. Lyndell is the father of two children, Isaac, 11, and Kailey, age 5. He has proven himself in a respectful and dignified manner, having worked with many families in Adair County during their times of loss. He has fully equipped vehicles for transportation from place of death to the chosen funeral home. This facilitates the ambulance service to provide better services, by releasing them from the scene quicker, if needed, and eliminates the waiting time for other means of transportation to arrive. He will have fully trained deputies to assist him in the duties of Coroner. He is not associated with a local funeral home and therefore will have no partiality to either establishment. Jamie Cole will be his deputy, also a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Your vote will be appreciated.
(Paid for by Lyndell R. Petty)

ANOTHER ANGLE: the occasional musings of a Kentucky pastor
Some Biblical Twins, Some 20th Century Twins, and a Birthday Appreciation
By The Rev. Joey N. Welsh
joey_n_welsh@hotmail.com
There aren't many twins mentioned in the Bible, and the ones who are noted are a troubled, conflicted lot. Jacob and Esau (Genesis 25 and following) were competitors in the womb, and their conflict continued into their adult life. The disciple of Jesus, Thomas (also called Didymus - or "the twin") is known to us primarily as Doubting Thomas because of events related to us in John 20. We are told nothing of Thomas twin.
