Two new movies starting at the Columbian: 'The Benchwarmers' and 'The Sentinel'

Starting Friday at the Columbian Theatre we have 'The Benchwarmers', rated PG-13. 'The Benchwarmers' will play nightly at 6:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm only.

Also starting Friday at the Columbian Theatre will be 'The Sentinel', rated PG-13. 'The Sentinel' will play nightly at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 4:00 pm only.

City Hall with Communications Center integration concept by Benton Fudge



2006-05-02 - Columbia, Adair CO, KY - Photo staff of elevation by Benton Fudge, South Central Design. This is a drawing of City Hall after the addition of the new Communications Center, for which funding has been approved. In this Benton Fudge, South Central Design concept, the addition is at right, where the Bob & Rich Wethington Better Burgers Poolroom stood. The concrete screen on the front of the existing City Hall is gone, and in their place, a row of six columns. Mayor Bell was pleased with the drawing, though the project is not to that stage yet.

Olivia Michelle Huff was welcomed into the world on April 17, 2008, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. She weghed 8lbs.10oz. and was 21 inches long. Her parents are BJ and Tasha Huff of Columbia, KY. She was also welcomed home by her grandparents Mike and Dana Holmes of Columbia, KY, and Billy and Melissa Huff of Greensburg, KY, her great grandparents, Larry and Pat Conover, Jr. and Dorothy Holmes, and Buck and Eva Robertson, Bill Huff and Margaret Huff. She was also welcomed home by a great great grandma Stella Mann and also several aunts, uncles and cousins. PHOTO

Mary A. Estes, 86, dies in Edmonton, KY

She leaves many Adair County relatives, including her daughter, Carol Shirley of Cane Valley, KY
Mary A. Estes, 86, Edmonton, KY, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006, at the Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

This obituary information is a courtesy of Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY.

Her funeral will be Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, KY, with Bro. Scott Osborne the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens in Edmonton, KY.
