Mildred Young Hancock, 90, artist, gardener, former assistant to Dr. Loy Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Grissom Funeral Home at 2 p.m. for Mildred Young Hancock, 90, who passed away Wednesday. She was the daughter of Charles Winston and Clara Garnett Young and attended Western Kentucky University prior to working with the late Dr. M. C. Loy for about twelve years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Hancock, in 1999. Important Relay for Life meeting is May 1, 2006 Drive has already banked $16,000. Much more is needed. Bank Day when all teams turn in money is May 23, 2006. Big Event, Relay Night, on Friday, June 9, 2006. Important Relay for Life meetings will be held Monday, May 1, 2006, Angela Dean and Tonya Karnes announce. At 5:30 p.m. committee members will meet in the basement of the Adair County Annex Building. Then at At 6:30 p.m., team captains meet. These will be the last meetings before the big event, Relay Night on Friday, June 9 , 2006, at Boosters Field, Adair County High School, Columbia, KY.
