Sidney Grant, 79, one of Adair County's most respected citizens Mr Grant was a veteran of World War II, a member and elder of Tabernacle Christian Church, a member of Hood Masonic Lodge, a building contractor, a former member of the Columbia-Adair County Airport Board, and was a six-term Magistrate on the Adair County Fiscal Court. His wife, Susie Pelz Grant, survives. Names of pallbearers added 9:54 a.m., February 20, 2006 Sidney Grant, 79, 1813 Little Cake Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Friday, February 17, 2006, at 7:02 a.m., at his home, after an illness. The funeral service will be Monday, February 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Minor, Bro. Hugh Withers, Bro. Eldon Rucker, and Bro. Columbia United Methodist Church Valentine dinner honors senior members By Marsha Walker On February 15, Columbia United Methodist Church held a Valentine's dinner inhonor of members who have reached 75 years of age. The dinner washeld to show them how much we love them and appreciate what they have meantto our church. Four members present have reached the age of 90+.
