Both comments forum, Federalist Papers abused by some, he says
I did not know a republican newspaper man could be so smart. You have offered this county a new form of Democracy as was used in the days of the Federalist Papers.

Unfortunately some have abused this forum as was done by some in those days.

Turkish Delight candy doesn't get a thumbs-up



2005-12-17 - Columbia, KY - Photo Laura Marcum. CBC YOUTH MEMBERS SARAH AND LINDSAY tested the Turkish Delight candy made by their YouthPastor Daniel Marcum. Everyone thought it was very interesting, but it didn't get the thumbs-up rating that the movie Narnia received. They were part of the Columbia Baptist Church Youth Group which saw the movie at the Columbian Theater Wednesday night.

Columbia Baptist Youth Group sees family movie Narnia

Daniel and Laura Marcum, Youth Pastor and Creative Ministry Director, respectively, at the Columbia Baptist Church, share news of their Wednesday evening Narnia party. Like other church groups, they attended the inspirational family movie Chronicles of Narnia at The Columbian Theater, just down the street from the Church. Laura says, "we gave the movie an enthusiastic Siskel-and-Ebert style 28 thumbs up!"

Ruby Mae Estes, 99, member Harrod's Fork Baptist Church

Services will be held for Ruby Mae Estes, age 99, on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Bro. Finis Curry and Bro. Stoney McKinney officiating.

She was the daughter of the late Finis and Ann Bell Jessie Roach and was the widow of Alton Estes. She was a member of the Harrod's Fork Baptist Church.

A country ham and biscuit breakfast in honor of the candidates at Hwy 61 Country Mart in Breeding, Adair CO, KY, was held this Sunday morning, December 18, 2005.

The event was hosted by Brian and Cindy Murley, owners of Hwy 61 Country Mart.

G.B. Bardin, 81, retired farmer and carpenter of Bliss Community

The patriarch of a large family, he leaves 21 descendents.
Mr. Bardin was a member of the Methodist faith.

G.B. Bardin, 82, 715 G.B. Bardin Road, the Bliss Community, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly at his home after a short illness, Saturday, December 17, 2005.

The funeral service will be Monday, December 19, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jim Goff officiating. Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery.

Head-on collision results in three injuries; one flown to Vanderbilt

KSP Post 15 Trooper Kendra Wilson investigates two car collision in Monroe
A two-vehicle, head-on collision at 3:00 a.m. this morning, Saturday, December 17, 2005, three miles south of Tompkinsville on KY 163 has resulted in one passenger being airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville and two other occupants receiving treatment at Monroe County Medical Center.

Michael's wife appeals for prayers for him in an update on his condition, "...please ask anyone and everyone for their prayers. Love, Ruth Ann..."
