As a member of the Green River Animal Welfare League, I would like to remind everyone to take special care of their pets in cold weather.

Make sure your pets have a warm place to sleep. If you cannot bring your dogs inside, give them a warm bed in the garage or if that is not possible, give them a warm dog house faced away from the wind with blankets or straw inside for them to snuggle down in.

By Linda Waggener
linda@columbiamagazine.com

Did you enjoy all that anticipation yesterday? Did you slide on the thin layer of ice that fell early in the day and then pay serious attention to the storm warnings? Did you stock up on groceries or buy some snow tires in preparation? Did you get out the sleds?
