Last Chance for Shotgun Turkey Hunting is December 3-9

Frankfort, KY - Kentucky hunters will have one last chance to get a Christmas turkey with a firearm during the second half of fall turkey shotgun Season, December 3-9, 2005.

Hunters have harvested nearly 2,200 birds this fall, during the October shotgun season and the ongoing fall archery season.

"So far, this year's numbers look to be right on average following last year's record fall harvest," said Steven Dobey, wildlife program coordinator for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR). "I would expect the December harvest to be good this year, especially with the warmer than average temperatures."

Adair County Community Voice publisher will vote for Nickel Tax

Improving Adair County Education
See What a Nickel Can Do!
Photos will accompany this text
By Dr. Phil Aaron

In 1981, 25 years ago, I was a young physician with a dream.

As chairman of the committee to pass a bond to build a new hospital I told Adair Countians, "This is the most important vote you can make for the future of our county." We passed that bond vote while every other hospital bond vote on the ballot in Kentucky was defeated. Our hospital won!Adair County won!

And now, one quarter of a century later, the dream lives on. Please join me with me to support the most important vote in the history of Adair County Education. If we support this nickel investment in our children's future, Our children win! Adair County wins!

The children of Adair county are our future and they deserve the very best educational opportunities possible. These improvements to the school system will help provide our students with even better opportunities.
